The day unfolds in the heart of the desert at Jaisalmer, the Golden City of India. Jaisalmer is christened after its founder Rawal Jaisal and means the hill fort of Jaisal', which was established in the year 1156. The bustling city is full of rustic beauty, and the yellowish hue of the sand justifies the name rendered to the monochromatic landscape.
The once-auent havelis, intricately carved balconies, cornices and facades decorate the city and have made it an architectural delight.
